We just returned from our first ever official Conway Family Vacation!!! YAY!
Like most military families our vacation days are spent visiting extended family in various states...but this year, with an impending deployment looming overhead, we decided to just focus on our family and HIT THE BEACH--Gulf Shores, Alabama!!
Not only was this our first family vacation, but it was the first time our kiddos had seen the beach--such a great experience to see their faces! Our little girl--who turns 2 soon...tears, tears, sniff, sniff--loved the waves almost as much as our 7 year old who found a new life mission in catching as many waves as possible with his wave-board.

I don't mind that sand was everywhere--even in the sandwiches we packed for an oceanfront picnic--and I didn't mind the heat, which was offset by the salty breeze. Even with our squealing children running amok, hubby and I were blissfully relaxed. Three Cheers For Family Summer Vacations and a big round applause to our Creator for creating a little piece of beach heaven for us to enjoy!
We went to Gulf Shores too for our first family vaca in May! It's the best beach ever!!
